A bit abt us.png

Meet Your Muslim Neighbours (MYMN) is a voluntary organisation that aims to promote social cohesion and foster better understanding about the true teachings of Islam, followed by 1 in 5 of the world population.

In 2004, MYMN was established by a group of young members from the community, coming from various professional backgrounds, from doctors to teachers to entrepreneurs, with a common aim- to proactively work towards breaking barriers and remove misconceptions about Islam so as to help establish a positive social cohesion in our muti-cultural British society and beyond.

Since then, we have successfully organised numerous events and worked in partnership with various other organisations to run similar family community events in cities all over the UK.

Our Aim

Our aim is to encourage community cohesion by providing a platform for the local communities to come together, foster understanding and remove misconceptions whilst share and learn about one another.

“O mankind, indeed, We have created you from single (pair) of male and female and made you into nations and tribes so that you may recognise one another (not despise with each other). Verily, the most noble amongst you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you. Indeed, God is All- Knowing and All- Aware.”

[The Qur’an, Chapter 49, Verse 13]

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide every member of the wider community in the UK, an opportunity to learn what Islam truly is and interact with their Muslim neighbours, through ongoing engagement to foster stronger relations.

“There is no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course (Truth) stands out clear from the wrong.”
[The Qur’an, Chapter 2, Verse 256]

MYMN organises a large variety of events for different groups of people ranging from the whole community to more tailored events for schools or workplaces.
